I usually refrain from posting anything that is not health oriented, but I thought I’d make an exception for this family. They are my wife’s relatives up in Tom’s River, NJ and last week their house caught fire and they lost everything. Circumstances had caused Chris Golembeski (EMT) and her daughter Alyssa (volunteer first responder — Captain) to move in with Chris’ other daughter Ashley Hollingsworth (firefighter/EMT). The house caught fire last Thursday morning, trapping Alyssa in the basement. Fortunately Tom’s River Fire Department was able to rescue her. However, the families lost everything including 4 pets and Alyssa’s car.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help get them on their feet should you wish to help: https://www.gofundme.com/help-volunteers-rebuild-after-devasting-housefire
